Falling for Cebu Day 01 (DIY GUIDE)

Whuuuup sup! Calling all Biyaheros, Explorers and Wonderers! Finally were back to the Queen City of the South. Get your notes and ready on this! This time were chasing waterfalls all around the southern part of Cebu. We are giving you an itinerary for your DIY guide (Do It Yourself) to experience breathtaking waterfalls of South Cebu on your own way.

For me, its way surprising if you explore on your own rather than joining in a tour package to discover nature wonders. It feels like you work hard for something, and you’ll feel when you achieve it. So lets check out our day one DIY guide of Cebu’s waterfalls that you MUST visit in your life for lifetime memories! And beep us which one is your favorite!

1. AGUINID FALLS

Aguinid Falls is split up into multiple levels. The adventure used to take you to eight levels of waterfalls but locals close higher levels due prone of accident. You will only reach until level 5 and its alright for us explorers to preserve clear water on the higher levels to avoid destruction of water flowing to the main falls (level 5).

Aguinid Falls is worth the whole experience trekking and climbing through rocks and falls. Literally in the falls, climbing with water flowing through. Another great addition to our bucket list memories.

I had fun on adventure at same time thinking about the stalagmites and stalactites because it form every thousand years less than 10cm then we just walk thru them. The rock formation is sensitive when you touch or step on because it causes brown or black, sometimes shiny color, when many people touch and step on the same place. Im thinking they should make a appropriate way to the falls or staircase to preserve the beauty of our nature and experience new generation and rock formation continues.

6. INAMBAKAN FALLS (FIRST LEVEL)

If you are ready for an adventure, a short trek, a relaxing atmosphere and nature best, this is good destination. Its a trilogy waterfalls in one place.

We went to first level (Inambakan Falls) which was like a 10 min. trek then it was very beautiful there! Its a 100 ft. Waterfall leading you up stream into the jungle and get ready to swim. After, we went to the second level (Bugnawan Falls) undeveloped tourist spot and offer to anyone who wants to take a minute to appreciate the view. The name Bugnawan came from term ‘Bugnawa’ which means cold in Cebuano. It is called Bugnawan Falls due to its cold water. On the Third level (Kampael Falls) just above Bugnawan Falls and spent our last trip swum here. After few minutes and tons of photos we just left the area.

The falls were just for us. No one else was there it was like exclusive! Will I come back? Definitely Yes. The only thing makes me go and do more is seeing undiscovered places this is the life Im into seeing myself in the place I dream off and I made it.
